Our Superintendent

Mark Kleinhans, with 30+ years of experience, is a seasoned education professional joining D7. His diverse background includes roles as a Teacher, Coach, Building Administrator, and Policy Consultant, with 15 years as a Superintendent in various Michigan districts. Known for prioritizing academic achievement and school safety, Mark is recognized for fostering strong relationships with staff and the community. Colleagues consistently highlight his fairness, honesty, and approachability.

Global Eats New Destinations

After successfully taking our D7 students on culinary adventures to China, India, Italy, and Mexico with our Global Eats program in the first half of the school year, we're excited to announce the addition of two new stops! We've partnered with celebrity chefs Travel Bristol-Joseph and Angel Barreto to curate authentic cuisines from Korea and the Caribbean. We can't wait for students to continue the journey!
