🍁 November Health Tips: Stay Cozy & Healthy This Season! 🍁
Hello!
With the arrival of November, it’s time to cozy up and focus on keeping everyone in our school community healthy and happy. Here are some quick and easy tips to help us all stay well through the chilly season!
🩺 National Diabetes Awareness Month
November is National Diabetes Awareness Month, a time to learn more about diabetes and how we can support those who live with it. Did you know that healthy eating, regular exercise, and staying active are some of the best ways to prevent and manage diabetes?
- Choose whole grains, fruits, and vegetables over sugary snacks.
- Get moving with daily activities like walking, playing sports, or even dancing.
- Stay hydrated and avoid sugary drinks when possible.
🧥 Bundle Up for Outdoor Fun!
Recess is more fun when we’re warm! As temperatures dip, remember to dress in layers with coats, hats, and gloves. Let’s stay active and enjoy the crisp air safely.
💧 Don’t Forget to Drink Water!
Even in cool weather, staying hydrated is essential. Bring a water bottle to school and sip throughout the day. It’s just as important now as in the summer!
🥕 Fill Up on Colorful Fruits & Veggies
Eating a variety of fruits and veggies helps keep our immune systems strong. Try adding something colorful, like carrots, oranges, or leafy greens, to every meal to keep your body fueled and ready to learn!
👐 Wash Those Hands!
With colder weather and more indoor time, germs spread more easily. Remember to wash your hands, especially before eating and after playtime. It’s a simple way to stay healthy and keep germs at bay!
😴 Get Plenty of Sleep
Good sleep is key to feeling our best. Stick to a regular bedtime and wind down with a book or something calming instead of screens before bed.
🧡 Practice Gratitude
November is the season of thankfulness, so let’s make it a habit! Each day, think of one thing you’re grateful for and share it with family or friends. It’s a great way to keep our spirits bright!
Together, let’s make November a healthy and happy month for everyone. Stay warm, stay well, and enjoy the season!
